Come and join this dedicated team as our Shift Supervisor Mining. The Shift Supervisor Mining will be responsible for planning, coordinating, leading and controlling resources within the specific mining section to ensure safe and optimum production of the specific section within the shaft.

Job Description

Job responsibilities include:

  • Daily adherence to the completion of the site-specific Shift Supervisor’s logbook appointed for the area of responsibility (Legal Document).
  • Comply with organisational and legislation safety requirements by maintaining appropriate practices, standards and procedures.
  • Conducting accident and incident investigations and implement the necessary precautions to avoid re-occurrence.
  • Ensure that the Miner/s he is responsible for complies with mine design and practices according to the mining cycle.
  • Order materials, equipments and ensure that there is no wastage of material.
  • Monitor and ensure Time and Attendance and relevant payroll matters are handled.
  • Ensure effective discipline and compliance with the Company disciplinary code.
  • Adhered to daily, weekly and monthly plan.

This role is at a C5 level reporting to the Mine Overseer.

  • At least 5 years Shift Supervisor experience in the Conventional underground mine.
