Shift Electrical Technician 2 Job Description

The Electrical Technician, together with other technicians, provides process and technical support to the machine crews to maintain and optimize asset process stability and develop crew’s process knowledge to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets. In this role, you will:

Safety

• Ensure compliance with all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations. All non-conformances should be dealt with immediately; unresolved issues must be raised with the Asset Leader.
• Follow the correct WSWP and Process Instruction for all tasks performed.

Productivity

• Support production by providing electrical technical support to the production teams.
• Carry out action plans to solve problems and minimize electrical delays.
• Assist with changeovers on the asset to minimize delays.
• Work on continuous improvement plans to upgrade asset performance and capability.
• Ensure all documentation, including drive and PLC data, is recorded properly to ensure asset reliability.

Maintenance

• Assist with maintenance activities on electrical equipment and installations.
• Ensure electrical spares are available and ready for use.
• Provide technical information for planned and reactive maintenance work requests.
• Recommend spares requirements to the Electrical Engineer.
