Shift Electrical Technician

What You Will Enjoy Doing

1. Allocated a section of plant to maintain high equipment availability and housekeeping.
2. Responsible for plant wide maintenance activities during shifts/shutdown/breakdown/etc.
3. Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards, and company policies.
4. Manage section spares and usage, scoping of work, execution and reporting.
5. Supervise/lead assistants and contractors.
6. Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective actions.
7. Systematic approach to troubleshooting and fault finding and formulate troubleshooting guide.
8. Consult equipment manuals and ensure machines are always maintained in accordance with the prescribed procedures and works instructions.
9. Read and interpret Engineering & Electrical drawings and P&I diagrams.
10. Understanding of analogue and digital signals.
11. Understanding of PID control and Applications.
12. Strong understanding of instrumentation (Flow meters, pressure sensors, level sensors, temperature sensors, PH, Conductivity and turbidity).
13. Plants include (plastic) processing, blowing, conveying, producing, extruding and storage, utilities, water treatment, facilities, etc.
14. Overhauling and repairs to equipment.
15. Basic fabrication and rigging.
16. Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
17. Document all maintenance activities and repairs.
18. Execute equipment fitting, installations, changes and repairs.
19. Basic understanding of PLC control and wiring.
20. Knowledge of VSD's, DOL's and star/Delta control.
21. Basic knowledge of networking protocol (Profinet, Profibus).
