Job summary

Samancor Chrome seeks a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality professional to oversee risk assessment and compliance within the plant. You will utilise the IMS to initiate investigations, report SHEQ status and drive continuous improvement in safety standards.

The role involves facilitating incident investigations, conducting ISO layered audits, coordinating 5S programs, and monitoring safety training and drills to ensure legal compliance and workforce wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures across business areas.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, environment and quality policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.
