The role involves promoting SHEQ culture both at the plant and on construction sites.
Requirements
- Minimum NQF Level 4 - 5 Grade 12+ / Higher certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ operational and administration experience in a SHEQ environment
- Valid SACPCMP License
- Knowledge of OHSA
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Intermediate proficiency in SAP and other in-house systems
- Excellent communication, administration, and presentation skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and policies
- Be fully conversant with all construction site requirements and procedures
- Prepare safety statistics for management
- Perform safety inductions for employees and contractors
- Attend on-site safety meetings
- Create and maintain safety files
- Ensure SHEQ compliance of contractors and monitor their activities
- Conduct audits on contractors
- Maintain legal registers and ensure accessibility
- Log and submit RMA claims and report on claims
- Contribute to the development of site operating procedures
- Identify and control SHEQ hazards
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions
- Prepare monthly SHEQ reports and update LTIFR
- Maintain SHEQ documentation, reports, and registers
- Conduct site inspections and incident investigations
- Implement and review risk assessments
- Administer legal compliance audits
- Ensure weekly safety talks are conducted
