An established industry player is seeking a SHEQ Manager to lead the development and implementation of safety, health, environmental, and quality management systems. The SHEQ Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining effective SHEQ management systems to promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to SHEQ policies and procedures.
Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international SHEQ regulations and standards. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting and documentation. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. Implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate identified risks.
Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs to employees at all levels. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement through regular training and awareness programs. Lead investigations into SHEQ incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of incidents and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.
Establish SHEQ performance metrics and conduct regular reviews. Prepare and present SHEQ performance reports to senior management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in SHEQ practices and processes. Benchmark SHEQ practices against industry standards and implement best practices.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote SHEQ initiatives. Engage with employees, contractors, and suppliers to ensure SHEQ compliance and improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field. Relevant certifications.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHEQ management role, in the manufacturing industry. Proven track record of developing and implementing SHEQ management systems.
