Job description

Our client, a well established manufacturing company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced SHEQ Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of their Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, foster a culture of safety and quality, and spearhead initiatives to enhance their SHEQ performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • SHEQ Management Systems : Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive SHEQ management systems and policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to local, national, and international SHEQ regulations and standards.
  • Audits and Inspections : Conduct regular SHEQ audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Incident Management : Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, developing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Cultural Promotion : Promote a culture of safety, health, and quality across all organizational levels.
  • Training and Guidance : Provide SHEQ-related training and guidance to employees.
  • Performance Monitoring : Monitor and report on SHEQ performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Continuous Improvement : Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Industry Best Practices : Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes.

Qualifications :

  • Educational Background : Matric.National Diploma in Safety Management, Quality Management, or equivalent.Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHEQ management role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of SHEQ regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).
  • Skills : Strong leadership and communication skills.Proven ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
