REQUIREMENTS

1. Graduate engineer (Degree in Mechanical or Electrotechnical engineering) who has passed the examination on the Act and the regulations made thereunder held by the Commission of Examiners in terms of Regulations E5 of the regulations published under Government Notice R of 28 June or Certified Engineer (Certificate of competency in mechanical or electrotechnical engineering issued before 01 January).
2. Minimum of 2-4 years experience.
3. Planning and reporting skills.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Highly motivated and self-starter.
6. Team Player.
7. Valid driver's license.
8. Own transport.
9. Willing to travel.

DUTIES

1. This position will be the responsible General Machinery Regulation 2.1 appointment as per Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of .
2. Managing GMR 2.7a appointees to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
3. Ensure occupational health and safety.
4. Conduct risk assessments and implement control determinations.
5. Ensuring all machinery complies with Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
6. Maintaining records: Keeping and maintaining statutory machinery records.
7. Risk management of service providers and contractors.
8. Conduct incident investigations and implement preventative measures.
9. Leading safety committee.
10. Manage site-specific projects.
11. Involvement with planned and preventative maintenance systems and optimize plant, vehicle, and equipment.
12. Involvement with procurement of machinery and design.
13. Implement equipment upgrades and enhancements.
14. Manage training of machine operators.
15. Involvement of job observations and competency assessment.
