Minimum requirements :
- BTech or relevant NQF Level 7 qualification.
- Exceptional knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- SAMTRAC and HIRA certifications (beneficial).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial role.

Duties and responsibilities :
- Ensure full compliance with applicable legislation.
- Implement appropriate and adequate procedural control measures.
- Provide sufficient physical safeguards, including safety PPE, for hazards.
- Maintain adequate controls for common risks such as slips, trips, and falls.
- Uphold adequate standards of housekeeping.
- Ensure training of all employees and external contractors.
- Ensure sufficient development and maintenance of safe operating procedures.
- Implement health and safety procedures.
- Drive SHEQ-related continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain quality system and certification.
- Ensure legal compliance with environmental laws.
- Measure the impact of the company's operations on the environment and improve annually (carbon footprint, emissions, etc.).
- Identify hazards.
- Manage day-to-day security.
- Close out insurable risks highlighted.
