Summary

Leading company in providing water technologies, treatment infrastructure, and network services for the municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors is seeking a SHEQ Coordinator in the Overstrand Area (based in Hermanus).

Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Three to five years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools and cloud-based applications.
  • SAMTRAC or equivalent qualification.
  • HIRA certification.
  • First Aid Level 1 certification.
  • Experience in incident and accident investigations.
Main Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a safety management system compliant with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  • Coordinate with staff, clients, and suppliers regarding SHEQ matters.
  • Oversee SHEQ responsibilities for all operations in the Cape area.
  • Communicate SHEQ requirements to operational teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure suppliers and subcontractors adhere to client SHEQ standards and report deviations for corrective action.
  • Stay informed of client SHEQ requirements and implement them as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act 85 of 1993.
  • Manage SHEQ aspects of all buildings, grounds, and security at assigned sites.
