Job description

Safety, Health and Environment Manager

Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Manager.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Planning, directing, and implementing organisational safety, health, and environmental programmes.
  • Developing a SHE operational plan in accordance with set targets.
  • Developing and implementing a sustainability strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation across all sites.
  • Keeping abreast of updates in occupational health and safety legislation and advising management accordingly.
  • Monitoring and maintaining SHE management systems.
  • Serving as the management representative for ISO and OHAS systems.
  • Conducting, reporting, and following up on pre-use, safety, and audit inspections including risk control.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure, and legal working environment.
  • Managing individual, team, and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectives.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Safety Management.
  • ISO Internal Auditor certification.
  • SAMTRAC, ESG, and sustainability certificate.
  • 6-8 years of relevant safety, health, and environmental experience.
