Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Services Assistant / Porter reporting to the Nursing Services Manager.

The successful candidate will be part of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient satisfaction and that all patients receive comprehensive, quality care.

Critical Outputs
  1. Provide assistance with patient luggage on admission and discharge.
  2. Safely transport patients within the hospital—between reception, wards, doctors' rooms, x-rays, and other allied health professional rooms.
  3. Ensure wheelchairs are clean and in good working order at all times.
  4. Direct patients and visitors to relevant departments within the hospital.
  5. Distribute internal communication.
  6. Collect stock and stationery for the Department.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent level of education.
  • 3 years relevant experience in private healthcare is advantageous.
  • Skills: Collaboration/Relationship Building, Resilience, Verbal & written communication and presentation skills, Negotiation, Excellence and quality orientation, Ethical behaviour.
