Job Description
Schneider’sService Technician play an impactful role within the organization - collaborating with customers, team members and third-party partners to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on both Company and third-party manufactured equipment in a variety of dynamic environments. Is this you?Responsible for providing professional services for the company’s customers and technical support/training for service partners, including technical site analysis to resolve customer issues and to perform field service duties on the company’s complete range of Air Conditioning units.

What will you do?

  • Perform start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance and corrective/unscheduled maintenance on all company equipment.
  • Training and certification of Service Partners.
  • Participate and lead in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform advanced and custom audits of customer's site, working with sales to complete availability Assessments.
  • Perform consulting services at customer site and telephonically.
  • Work with customers, contractors, service partners, other members of the team, Sales Partners, Tech Support, to resolve escalated problems.
  • Document all required information for each site visit performed.
  • Manage installation projects as well as unit replacement when necessary.
  • Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of company equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
  • Educate customers on basic operation of their equipment. Inform customers of issues which they may experience with their equipment in a way which is beneficial to the customer as well as the company.
  • Evaluate the technical and professional performance of Service Partners.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • A high level of customer service skills is required as well as the ability to perform troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical and Refrigeration Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical/refrigeration components and principles.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Good technical knowledge of electricity and HVAC controllers.
  • HVAC Systems: Familiarity with HVAC systems, including test and measurement equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Project Management: Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Customer Service: High level of customer service and communication skills.
  • Documentation: Ability to document site visits and technical issues clearly.Safety Compliance: Adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Who will you report to?

  • The role reports to the E&P Workshop & Secure Power Manager.
  • Internal Service Team: Collaborating on installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Third-Party Contractors and Service Partners: Coordinating and sometimes training or evaluating their performance.
  • Sales Partners and Technical Support: Especially when resolving escalated issues or conducting site audits.
  • Customers: Providing on-site and remote support, training, and consultation.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • A technical qualification in Mechanical or Refrigeration.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience in field services is essential.
  • Experience with Precision Air Conditioners is preferred.
  • Experience in training and evaluating service partners is a plus.
