Our client, a respected name in the South African motor industry, is seeking a Commercial Automotive Service Manager to oversee their busy service department. This is a senior-level opportunity ideal for someone who thrives on driving performance, managing high-volume operations, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Lead and manage the service department for commercial vehicles (trucks, fleet, etc.)
2. Set departmental goals aligned with business targets and OEM standards
3. Ensure smooth workflow between service advisors, technicians, and parts department
4. Maintain strong relationships with fleet clients and key accounts
5. Monitor productivity, profitability, and CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index)
6. Handle warranty submissions, job card reviews, and cost control
7. Recruit, train, and mentor service staff

Requirements :

1. Matric + relevant post-matric qualification (technical or management preferred)
2. 5+ years’ experience in a service manager role within a commercial vehicle dealership
3. Strong knowledge of OEM standards and dealership operating systems
4. Proven track record in managing large teams and achieving service targets
5. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and customer handling skills
6. Valid driver’s license and clear criminal history
