Job Purpose

The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government, has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to lead, manage, and facilitate ICT Service Delivery of Broadband-related projects to Client Departments.

Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma / B-degree);
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in ICT projects, of which 3 years must be management experience.

Recommendation

Relevant working experience in connectivity or VOIP projects.

Key Performance Areas

• Line Management: Manage a team of professionals and service providers; manage service levels of broadband-related contracts.
• Contract Management: Oversee financial management, budgeting, and expenditure control.
• Strategic Management: Define and review the purpose, objectives, priorities, and activities; participate in strategic planning.
• Human Resource Management: Involve in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
• Clients and Stakeholder Liaison: Engage strategically across government and with private sector organizations.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Knowledge of Public Service Acts, ICT Training, Infrastructure and Security, HR matters, Finance, Business and Systems analysis, Technical standards and procedures, Project Management;
• Skills in Strategic Planning, Excellent communication (verbal and written), Report writing, Presentation, and negotiation skills.

Remuneration

All-inclusive salary package of R per annum (Salary Level 11). Note: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension contributions, etc.) are funded or co-funded as per applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
