Job description

DR Gaming Technology (DRGT) is an independent global developer and supplier of integrated, scalable casino management, cashless, and jackpot solutions.

We use the latest technology to give casino operators total control, and the unique ability to operate without the need for a permanent server, thanks to our patented drSMIB 'mesh' network.

Serving customers on 5 continents with a growing team, we operate from offices in Austria, Belgium, Colombia, Malta, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, and Uruguay, and service a current installed base exceeding 85,000 devices across more than 70 countries.

Purpose of the Role

As a Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in installing, managing, servicing, and maintaining our casino management system and jackpot technology across the African continent.

With customers in South Africa, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Seychelles, and Zambia, among others, you may be required to undertake some continental travel.

The role reports to the Operations Manager: Africa and is full-time, on-site, based out of our offices in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Product Installations, Upgrades, Training, Maintenance & Repairs
  • Analysis and resolution of customer issues
  • Internal testing of equipment and software
  • Creating and updating product or training documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
  • Liaising with test labs where required
  • Project management of the above duties
Qualifications and Experience
  • Must have previous casino online system experience
  • 5 years of casino systems technical experience
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and operating systems configuration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL and database maintenance
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in IT, electrical, or electronic engineering
Key Skills
  • Familiarity with issue-tracking software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with network configuration – firewall, VLAN, VPN, routers, etc.
  • Familiarity with virtual machines, Windows, and Linux operating systems
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel locally and abroad occasionally
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within international teams
