Job summary

A leading construction equipment firm in South Africa is seeking a Service Engineer to manage the upkeep and repair of heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in service roles for mining and construction equipment. Responsibilities include technical support, maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A background in handling complex machinery and a GCC driving license are preferred.

Qualifications

• More than 3 years’ experience in Service of Mining and Construction Equipment and Heavy Machinery preferably with GCC/International driving license.
• Candidates from OEM or Dealership are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to find out, adjust, repair or overhaul mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Carry out periodic maintenance of the heavy equipment machinery.
• Test machinery after repair or assembly to ensure proper functioning.
• Provide technical support to customers and maintain amicable client relations.
• Ensure that work is undertaken in a safe manner conforming to safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to find out, adjust, repair or overhaul the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment;
• Carry out periodic maintenance of the heavy equipment machinery;
• Test machinery after repair or assembly to ensure proper functioning and compliance;
• Provide technical support to customers and maintain amicable client relations;
• Ensure that work is undertaken in a safe manner and that practices conform to safety regulations and procedures;
• Stock machine management and periodic maintenance;
• RI, PDI, DI, regular service and customer training etc. standard service action implementation;
• Technical support to sales team; and
• Complete other task given by the line manager.

Requirements:

• Matric; Trade or University qualification preferred;
• More than 3 years’ experience in Service of Mining and Construction Equipment and Heavy Machinery preferably with GCC/International driving license; and
• Candidates from OEM or Dealership are preferred.
