Service Contract Technician - S2

The Role

Provides technical support in mechanical maintenance. Maintains and improves machines and equipment to increase or maintain a high level of reliability, availability, cost efficiency, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mechanical maintenance operations.
2. Preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, support planning and preparation, monitor outcomes, and documentation (outcome, root cause, time, improvements).
3. Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
4. Achievement of maintenance targets.
5. Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
6. Communicate operational status and any deviations.
7. Adhere to safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
8. Continuous improvements and development on a personal and operational level.

Profile Required

1. Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification / Equivalent Qualification.
2. Section 13 or 26D Trade Certificate, accompanied by proof of apprenticeship/portfolio of evidence/transcript.
3. Relevant mining experience (5 years).
4. Relevant mechanized mining experience (5 years).
5. Experience in an underground/surface mining environment.
6. Maintenance of earthmoving equipment in mining/construction environment.
