Job summary

Pick n Pay in Strand, Western Cape, is looking for a Service Area Assistant in Bakery to support daily operations in store.

You will stack and merchandise products, price items, inspect quality, rotate stock and handle customer requests with a courteous, business-like approach. A Grade 12 education and basic computer literacy are required or advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required; computer literate is advantageous.
• Strong communication in English and customer-focused service are essential.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are important for stock, pricing and ordering.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner.
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards.
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items and check labels.
• Check quality, rotate stock and remove expired stock.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage or damages and maintain the cold chain where applicable.
• Adhere to security procedures and operate equipment per standards.
• Assist customers, listen to requests, and provide products or services courteous and business-like.
• Process customer orders according to correct procedures and service standards.
