Job description

Service Advisor (Automotive) (JB) - Northcliff, Gauteng

R16 to R18 a month CTCPermanent

An exciting opportunity exists for a customer-focused and results-driven Service Advisor within the automotive industry.

This frontline role is essential in delivering a seamless and professional aftersales experience.

The ideal candidate will be confident, organized, and passionate about creating positive client interactions, ensuring the service department runs smoothly from booking to vehicle handover.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 12 with Relevant Automotive Diploma / Certificate
  • Drivers License
  • At least 2 years of OEM dealership experience
  • Strong understanding of Service Advisor processes and procedures
  • Excellent customer care knowledge and a proven CSI track record
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use own initiative and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work Saturdays and public holidays
  • Familiarity with dealership management systems (Evolve, IAL, etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet clients, open job cards, and manage service bookings
  • Accurately capture customer concerns and vehicle issues
  • Liaise between customers, workshop, and parts departments to ensure smooth communication
  • Update customers on progress, quotes, and additional work needed
  • Ensure all services and repairs are approved and authorised
  • Conduct vehicle handovers, ensuring quality of work and customer satisfaction
  • Manage and follow up on outstanding service invoices and payments
  • Uphold CSI / SSI targets and ensure a positive customer journey
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OEM bulletins and campaign notices
  • Ensure compliance with internal systems, policies, and audit standards
