Job Description
Position available at a well-established dealership for a highly motivated and experienced Service Advisor who can provide consistent outstanding customer service levels at an Automotive Dealership Service Department.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling of service appointments.
- Advising customers about necessary service requirements for routine maintenance.
- Obtaining customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
- Greeting customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtaining vehicle information.
- Assisting with identifying mechanical problems by questioning the customer or doing visual inspections.
- Checking on progress of repairs throughout the day.
- Contacting customers regarding changes in estimates or promised times, explaining costs and time requirements in detail, and obtaining proper authorization for additional repairs.
- Discussing inspection results with customers and recommending corrective procedures.
- Preparing work orders for needed repairs, showing time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Providing complete and accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts.
- Establishing customer's method of payment and obtaining credit approval if necessary.
- Handling customer complaints effectively.
- Implementing and maintaining a service marketing program.
- Reviewing repair orders to ensure work is completed, additional work is authorized, and records are properly maintained.
- Ensuring vehicles are parked in assigned areas, locked, and keys are marked and stored correctly.
- Keeping service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up to date.
- Implementing quality control processes to eliminate rework or comebacks.
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and keeping the work area clean.
- Performing other tasks as assigned.
- Required to work every alternate Saturday.
- Must have service advisor/aftersales experience at an automotive dealership.
