Job summary

MC Technology Staffing is seeking a seasoned content writer with SEO and web design experience in a B2B/technical environment. You will craft web, email, and social content, interview engineers for customer stories, and ensure accuracy and brand voice across UK English.

You will optimize on-page and technical SEO, manage WordPress pages, and collaborate with engineers and marketing to drive inquiries and brand visibility in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in marketing, journalism, communications, digital media or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in content writing and web design or website management, preferably in B2B or technical industries.
• A portfolio with live URLs and writing samples, including at least one technical or B2B article and one customer story or case study.
• Demonstrable SEO results, such as improved rankings or organic traffic growth.
• Excellent working knowledge of WordPress (or similar CMS), HTML and CSS, GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager and schema markup.
• Excellent written English (UK) and strong interviewing skills.
• Valid drivers licence and own transport for customer site visits and events.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, accurate and persuasive copy for web pages, landing pages, email campaigns, newsletters, social media, digital ads and press releases.
• Write customer stories interviewing engineers, production managers and business owners at SA manufacturers, document problem/solution/results and manage approvals per POPIA.
• Write blog posts and technical articles from input from engineers and staff; proofread for accuracy and brand voice; ensure UK English.
• Review AI output for accuracy, brand voice and publish-ready quality.
• Design new pages and websites in WordPress; create wireframes in Figma; monitor Core Web Vitals and accessibility.
• Plan and run campaigns, events, webinars, and promotions; maintain content calendar and CRM records.
• Perform administrative tasks to support marketing execution and reporting.
