Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd in the Western Cape is seeking a Senior Engineer Prof Welding to provide on-site welding engineering consulting and coordination for welding support in a nuclear plant environment. The role is permanent and EE-designated, based at Koeberg Power Station.

The ideal candidate holds a BSc/BEng in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering with IWE certification and at least 4 years of relevant welded construction experience, fulfilling ECSA registration requirements.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Metallurgy/Mechanical Engineering with 480 credits and Registered as International Welding Engineer (IWE).
• 4 years of related experience in welded construction and manufacturing for nuclear applications.
• Registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
