Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 12 months
Work set up: Mostly remote (1 - 2 days in office)

Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a Sr. Web Designer (UI Design / Visual Design) to be part of a growing global marketing team, helping create and maintain best-in-class user experiences for public-facing websites. You will support initiatives by extending and creating designs, ensuring customer, end user, and employee needs are translated into the design decisions you make in the experiences created. You’ll collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, content strategists, UI developers, and other stakeholders who believe the best work comes from collaboration and is driven by strategy.

What you will do:

• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to solve business and technical requirements and drive intuitive user-centered design solutions.
• Achieve stakeholder buy-in and lead cross-functional workstreams.
• Convert ideas into visual design mock-ups and/or prototypes to provide direction for rapid deployment.
• Negotiate and diplomatically manage conflicting points of view, as well as influence others in the organization to ensure alignment and progress.
• Support different teams by facilitating team-to-team communication.
• Transform business needs and user insights into smart design concepts delivered with high quality.
• Validate design implementation by the technical team.
• Understand customer goals, business requirements, and technical constraints, and work within project parameters.
• Maintain and/or extend our design system.
• Provide training to marketers or other stakeholders to increase awareness and understanding of the design system.
• Look for innovation outside of daily delivery that helps the company.
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience as a UX and Visual Designer or Product Designer.
• Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in User Experience, Experience Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or other relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Portfolio showing examples of work in both UX and Visual Design / Product Design.
• Experience managing complex business and technical solutions.
• Demonstrated experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and effectively influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience delivering with an agile methodology.
• Human-centered: Understands human-centered design philosophy and best practices.
• A Practical Creative: Enjoys solving complex problems creatively while remaining practical within constraints.
• Flexible Work Style: Works equally well in a participatory, team-based environment as well as independently when required.
• Ability to demonstrate your process, present your work, and articulate your design decisions to stakeholders.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements.
• Familiarity with common design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
• Experience leading a team of designers and UI developers to ensure final assets follow UI/UX best practices and meet user and business needs.
