Job summary

Mass Staffing Projects is representing a large consulting firm seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in surface water projects and a strong background in hydrology, water balance and water reuse for mining and industrial clients.

You will develop water and salt balances, contribute to EIAs and mine waste management, prepare high-quality design reports, manage budgets and timelines, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil and chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience in field of Engineering related to surface water is advantageous.
• Experience in water resources including hydrology, water balance, mine water management, flood modelling, water supply feasibility and water reuse.

Responsibilities

• Develop water and salt balances for mining and industrial clients.
• Input on water components for EIAs and mine waste management projects.
• Develop high quality project and design technical reports for clients.
• Manage project budget, resources, and timelines effectively.
• Mentor junior engineers with stormwater, hydrology and water and salt balance projects.
• Prepare Macros on Excel for data interpretation, reporting and management.
