Job summary

You will develop water conservation strategies, manage budgets, engage stakeholders, and ensure compliance with municipal legislation and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in civil or related field
• Registration with ECSA or active progress toward registration is advantageous
• 8+ years of experience in water and sanitation sector
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead complex water projects from concept through implementation.
• Develop water conservation and demand management strategies.
• Manage water security, drought mitigation, and resilience projects.
• Prepare funding applications, business cases, and budgets for interventions.
• Draft tender documentation and oversee contract administration.
• Collaborate with government bodies, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership on groundwater, SCADA, telemetry, and water treatment initiatives.
• Develop master plans, standards, and policies for water services.
