Senior Warehouse Systems Controller

Reporting: Packaging Manager
Location: Montague Gardens

Key Functional Areas:

1. Ensure adherence to R638 regulation for food handlers.
2. Ensure all paperwork, logs, data entry to be done properly, timely and orderly.
3. Be accountable for all receiving/inbound deliveries.
4. Unload, check, store and distribute incoming merchandise according to company procedures.
5. Inspect deliveries for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.
6. Accurate record keeping of received merchandise using computerized systems.
7. Be responsible for receiving, storing, picking and assembling, packing material for production.
8. Take ownership regarding organizing and general housekeeping of stock in the receiving warehouse and display unit.
9. Process Syspro transactions.
10. Responsible to keep our planning system (Liquid Planner) up to date and accurate.
11. Printing of filling sheets and issuing work to warehouse pickers.
12. Follow up on shortages and extras requested from the production teams.
13. Ensure that all stock is stored correctly and rotated accordingly: first in first out (FIFO)/First expire first out (FEFO).
14. Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
15. Perform Daily/Weekly/Monthly stock counts as scheduled and per Libstar policy – on and off-site storage.
16. Be responsible for cycle counts.
17. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all receiving.
18. Complete daily/weekly dispatch reports.
19. Monitor stock accuracy and report variances to Warehouse Supervisor.
20. Ensure the receiving of all goods returned from different CHS sites.
21. Be the Stand-In for the Warehouse Supervisor.
22. Perform the function of a General Packer if needed.

Required prior learning/experience:

1. The minimum requirement for this position is Grade 12/Equivalent.
2. 3 Years Warehousing/Logistics Administration experience (knowledge of Receiving is advantageous).
3. ERP/Syspro knowledge and a strong understanding of MS Office is required.
4. Experience in managing staff.
5. Currently studying towards a relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management.
