Job summary

Optimal Growth Technologies seeks an experienced WAN, Check Point Firewall and Azure Networking Engineer for a 6-month contract. The role focuses on design, implementation, administration, monitoring and optimisation of enterprise network and security environments.

Responsibilities cover WAN/LAN design, firewall management, Azure networking, routing protocols and high-availability configurations across on-prem and cloud resources.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in IT/Networking.
• Check Point certifications (CCSA/CCSE) advantageous.
• Azure networking certification (AZ-700) advantageous.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and support enterprise WAN and LAN network environments.
• Manage WAN connectivity, routing and network performance.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues.
• Configure and manage BGP and OSPF routing.
• Monitor network availability, capacity and performance.
• Coordinate with service providers for connectivity issues.
• Support network changes, upgrades and migrations.
• Ensure network infrastructure meets availability, performance and security requirements.
• Install, configure and maintain Check Point firewalls.
• Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPNs and access rules.
• Perform firewall rule reviews and optimisation.
• Troubleshoot firewall and security incidents.
• Monitor firewall logs and security events.
• Implement security changes per change management.
• Support high-availability firewall environments.
• Ensure firewall configurations comply with security standards.
• Design, implement and support Azure networking environments.
• Configure VNet, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway and ExpressRoute.
• Support hybrid connectivity between on-prem and Azure.
