Qualifications

• BVSc or equivalent international degree. Registration with SAVC mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a high-volume veterinary hospital.
• Advanced surgical procedures experience and track record in complex cases.
• Continuous professional development is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries with precision.
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic assessments for various animal species.
• Interpret laboratory results, X-rays, and ultrasound imaging to formulate treatment plans.
• Manage inpatient care, including anesthesia monitoring and post-operative recovery.
• Provide empathetic communication and detailed medical advice to pet owners.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to implement preventative medicine protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records for all patients.
