Amazon is hiring Senior Vendor Managers (SVM) to improve the experience for our customers in Africa. This role will work across various internal and external teams to evaluate customer landscapes and invent innovative approaches to solve ambiguous problems. Key job responsibilities
The SVM will be responsible for building relationships with vendors, increasing selection, managing category profitability, optimizing pricing, and developing their team. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set including leadership development, analytical skills, excellent business judgment, vendor management and negotiation skills, deep curiosity about operational processes, and a passion for creating a world-class shopping experience for our customers. The position requires a leader who can work autonomously in a fast-paced, highly demanding, and ambiguous environment.
The successful candidate should possess strong business judgment, a proven track record of project delivery, commercial negotiations, and relationship management, along with deep analytical abilities. This role involves working with multiple stakeholders such as marketing, marketplace, legal, supply chain, and operations.
We seek a leader capable of working independently in a dynamic environment. The candidate should demonstrate strong business acumen, project management experience, and the ability to influence cross-functional initiatives amidst competing priorities.
