Exciting Opportunity to Specialise in VAT!

Our client is a financial services company specialising in VAT, and they are seeking an experienced Auditor to join their team.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct full VAT audits at client sites to identify claimable VAT not claimed during the financial period.
2. Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and conduct VAT reviews.
3. Liaise with SARS regarding assessments and objections for the period.
4. Assist with VAT and VAT payables, including reconciliations.
5. Handle SARS assessments and objections.
6. Generate reports as required.

Requirements

• Completed accounting qualification.
• Excellent understanding and experience with VAT.
• Knowledge of apportionment ratios and their application.
• Experience conducting VAT audits and submitting VAT reviews.
• Experience with SARS assessments and objections.
• Own vehicle is essential due to travel requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Remuneration & Benefits

Basic salary plus benefits including Medical Aid, Provident Fund, and optional Retirement Annuity.

Performance bonus paid three times per year (February, June, November).
Note: Benefits commence after a 3-month probation period.
