Job description

Reputable Asset Management firms are seeking an analytical individual to play a key role in leading and determining valuations across different asset classes. The successful candidate will ensure accurate data gathering, validation, and dissemination of valuations, utilizing appropriate methodologies and building financial models. Engagement with important stakeholders is essential. This position offers a great career opportunity.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead valuations across all asset classes, including listed and unlisted securities.
  2. Recommend corrective actions based on valuation analyses.
  3. Provide input and guidance to the Valuations Committee regarding reporting standards.
  4. Supply static data for new security setups and agree on suitable valuation methodologies.
  5. Support oversight teams concerning relevant valuations.
  6. Source and validate prices for securities not provided by the market.
  7. Create valuations for various instrument types for inclusion in the Investment Book of Records.
  8. Ensure external manager prices are received and incorporated.
  9. Maintain and monitor data within the valuations dashboard.
  10. Prepare valuation reports and lead valuation meetings with executive management.
  11. Engage with key stakeholders such as Portfolio Managers and Franchise Heads.
  12. Perform other duties as discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications and Experience
  • BCom degree; CA or CFA qualification is advantageous.
  • Valuation experience in asset management, investments, or banking (CIB).
