Are you passionate about solving complex design problems? Do you have an eye for beautiful and compelling designs?

If so, you could be a great fit as a Senior UX / UI Designer within our remote team in Cape Town.

As a Senior UX / UI Designer at EPAM you will conduct user research, interviews and surveys and use the information to create site maps, customer journey maps, wireframes and prototypes. This is a great opportunity join a multi-disciplinary team of designers, UX Researchers copywriters and strategists.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the user experience on a range of project types, from design and build to Research / Discovery
• Organise and facilitate workshops with the support of the UX Director
• Plan and run user research activities, gather and organise findings
• Reuse and suggest new user-centric methodologies to frame problems / needs
• Proactively challenge the design process and team members to consistently achieve the best outcome
• Continue to learn and develop skills and methods across UX Strategy, Design Research, IA / Interaction design, Service design, Product Development and Thought Leadership
• Mentor more junior colleagues and support their learning and development

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience of relevant professional experience with at least 2 years experience in an agency / consultancy environment
• Highly proficient with design tools such as Figma, Sketch etc
• Demonstrable project experience covering end-to-end design with a portfolio ready to present
• Deep understanding of design methods and when to apply them effectively
• Client-facing and project lead experience
• Thorough understanding of the challenges of complex web and mobile web experiences
