Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Underwriter, with a strong focus on complex risks.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, markets, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and risk assessment skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and mentoring team members.
• ACII or FLMI qualifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate complex insurance applications to assess risk exposure accurately.
• Determine underwriting guidelines, policy terms, conditions, and pricing for new and existing business.
• Review and approve or reject insurance applications based on risk assessment and company policies.
• Collaborate with sales teams and brokers to provide expert advice on underwriting and risk management.
• Monitor the performance of underwriting portfolios and recommend adjustments to strategies as needed.
• Mentor and train junior underwriters, fostering a culture of expertise and compliance.
