Placements24 is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer in Midrand to shape the user experience and visual design of digital products. You will lead design from concept to high-fidelity mocks and collaborate with product managers, developers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of UI/UX experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency with Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD. A Bachelor’s degree in Design or related field is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to completion, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and persona development to deeply understand user needs and behaviors.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive style guides and design systems to ensure brand consistency and efficient development workflows.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, presenting design concepts and iterating based on feedback.
• Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design , with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful digital products.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Demonstrated experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of front-end development principles and how design translates to code.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
