Job summary

TAG seeks an experienced Travel Management Consultant based in Stellenbosch to support high-profile clients. You will manage VIP travel, craft multi-city itineraries, and ensure precise bookings across air, rail, hotels, and tickets while meeting client preferences and budgets.

With 3+ years in travel management, you will leverage GDS Galileo, negotiate best rates, and handle VIP and corporate travel, ensuring discretion, accuracy, and proactive service at all times.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a travel management company.
• GDS experience (Galileo preferred).
• Proven knowledge of airfares, tickets, reissues, published fares, and hotel bookings.

• Manage client travel requirements, including VIP travel, while anticipating individual client preferences and needs.
• Analyse enquiries and plan itineraries, ensuring budgets and requirements are met.

Based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, this role puts you right at the heart of our growing operation. You’ll team up with colleagues across the globe to drive exciting company initiatives and uncover smarter, more innovative ways of working.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Manage client travel requirements, including VIP client travel requirements, while anticipating and understanding individual client preferences and needs.
• Analyse all enquiries and requests received from clients and decide on the best options to offer. Formulate logistical itinerary plans to deliver practical travel solutions, ensuring that budgets and specific requirements are met.
• Fully service all VIP enquiries, requests, bookings and ticketing with the highest standards and quality documentation. Ensure all air, rail, hotel and/or other ancillary reservations meet company and client expectations.
• Report, investigate and resolve errors or/and client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service.
• Manage Quality Control (QC) procedures and tasks.
• Process complex reissues and pricing records accurately
• Negotiate the best rates and deals from vendors to reduce client expenditure. Assess all potential revenue and income streams for maximum company profitability.

• 3+ years of relevant experience within a travel management company
• GDS experience (Galileo preferred)
• Proven working knowledge and experience of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, reissues, published airfares, flight and hotel bookings
• Experience handling VIP, Corporate, entertainment clients and/or group travel
