Senior Travel Consultant (Africa Safari) – Upper Highway

We’re looking for a Senior Travel Consultant, who is a seasoned South Africa and Africa traveller – with excellent knowledge of the luxury safari market to join our dynamic team! Position based in the Upper Highway area.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years in the travel industry with strong expertise in the South African and African luxury safari industry.
• Proven experience as an inbound travel consultant, handling bespoke travel packages for international clients.
• Experience working with travel agencies in the UK and Europe.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple bookings efficiently.
• Tourplan experience is a plus!
• Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely.

Duties:

• Plan and manage bespoke travel packages and tailor-made itineraries across Africa.
• Handle all aspects of the reservations process, including quoting, booking, invoicing, and finalizing travel documents.
• Ensure accuracy in supplier confirmations and invoices.
• Follow up on bookings, payments, and special requests.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients during their travels.
• Work closely with travel agencies in the UK and Europe to coordinate seamless experiences.
• Collaborate with suppliers and attend industry training sessions.
• Maintain exceptional service standards and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Excellent knowledge of the luxury safari market, well travelled to luxury safari destinations in South Africa and Africa, especially Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Kenya.
