Purpose Of The Role
Provide support with coordinating and organising travel for all expatriate employees and provide travel advice about bookings and destinations. The incumbent assists with administering the departure and arrival schedules. Make sure all travel related arrangements are seamlessly done error free and precise and that all our travelers are issued documentation from point of origin to destination and return.
Requirements
Diploma in Travel and Tourism or Communication qualification
Matric
Customer care and communication
Amadeus Certification
Demonstrable experience as a travel consultant, with expertise in local and international travel arrangements
Minimum 7 years travel consultant experience
Minimum 5 years GDS experience
Experience in tourism / communication highly advantageous
Minimum advanced skills and knowledge in:
Book travel
Info about different protocols in different countries
Prohibited substance
Leave rotations
Local airports
Health protocols
Dealing with different nationalities
Computer Literate with exceptional desktop research and professional writing skills
Ability to source the best quotes, point to point as well as multi-sectored
Top-notch interpersonal skills, including communication, respect, and empathy
A knack for delivering multiple outputs within tight turnaround times, as needed

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to: Process: Assist with arranging travel for employees:
Receive local and international travel requests from employees manually or via self-service
Check and verify accuracy, correctness and approvals on the request forms
Inform travelers about in-country and out-country health and safety protocols
Check for correct leave information
For local travel, send requests to Protocols to book flights and inform the traveler
For international flights:
Check passport expiration date
Ensure visa is correct and valid
Ensure all medical protocol Leave rotations/check correct leave information are strictly followed
Send requests to central travel desk (Sandton Office)
Receive an itinerary and check if the employee is satisfied
Provide all travel documents to the employee
Update Daily Flight Schedule tracker
Operate as a subject matter expert for local and international travel:
Provide employees with travel advice
Research latest travel protocols with embassies of certain countries
Provide advice about prohibited substances
Make and manage all ground and air bookings commercial or charter as well as all land arrangements inclusive of accommodation, car and transfer bookings but not limited to. Manage/facilitate all Visa applications. Data Capture/ Manage and keep shared folders updated with relevant traveller information / travel dates and service requests. Profile Management - passport copies / information, meals, seating and frequent flyer details. MCM Travel system support, troubleshoot and resolve as well as make Online bookings using the allocated system for each entity. The Finer Details:
