Senior Trave Inbound Consultant

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and driven individual to complement our client's vibrant office environment and to handle international inbound tour operator enquiries.

The candidate should be confident, self-motivated, and goal-driven.

Position Overview:

The position is either within their USA & Australasia Division or UK & Europe Division.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Having a passion for the travel industry
2. A minimum of 5 years inbound tour consulting experience required
3. Experience working with overseas tour operators
4. In-depth product and destination knowledge of Southern Africa
5. All-rounder, with experience in FIT and ad hoc group quoting and processing
6. Experience designing itineraries for ADHOC tailor-made enquiries
7. Experience creating & quoting packages for agent websites
8. Attention to detail
9. Specialist advice on destination to agents
10. Apply strong sales techniques to convert potential business
11. Processing of converted quotes to bookings from cradle to grave
12. Handling of an after-hours phone on a rotational basis
13. Ability to work on Microsoft Word
14. Ability to communicate professionally via e-mail as well as telephonically
15. Figures-oriented

17. A good comprehension of protocol involved with senior management of corporate customers
18. A team player – someone who can receive directives from colleagues to achieve a mutual goal
19. Engaging with a myriad of Southern African suppliers to ensure you secure the best product/service coupled with the best possible price
20. Strong negotiating skills with both suppliers and clients
21. Take ownership ensuring all elements are taken care of in a professional and organised manner
22. Must be able to multitask between current & new quotes
