The role may include supervising junior psychologists and mentoring staff, with hybrid work options. The ideal candidate has 10+ years post-doctoral trauma experience, HPCSA registration, and a strong ethical foundation.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.
• Registered as Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA.
• Minimum of 10 years post-doctoral experience in clinical psychology, with trauma/PTSD focus.
• Expertise in EMDR, CPT, PE therapies.
• Proven experience in psychological assessment and diagnosis.
• Strong ethical conduct and professional standards.
• Excellent clinical interviewing, therapy, and diagnostic skills.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior clinicians.
• Ability to work independently and in hybrid Vereeniging setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth trauma-related assessments and evaluations.
• Develop and implement evidence-based trauma treatment plans (EMDR, CPT, PE, DBT).
• Provide individual, couples, and group therapy.
• Manage a diverse caseload with varying distress levels.
• Supervise junior psychologists, interns and trainees.
• Maintain confidential, compliant client records.
• Pursue continuous professional development and research.
• Collaborate with healthcare, legal entities and support networks.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
• Develop psychoeducational workshops on trauma-informed care.
• Contribute to research initiatives or publications.
