Experience in Southern Africa Inbound Tour Operating (5 years Southern Africa expertise preferable)

Qualifications
Matric
Tertiary Education with preference given to those with a diploma or degree in travel and tourism

Functional Responsibilities
Handling all quote enquiries, with a view to the highest conversion rate possible:
Handling all individual quotes from query stage through to the operational stage, with special emphasis on internal client sales and relationship management
Delivering & maintaining service excellence to our guests and internal client.
Accountable for daily processing and distribution of all relevant Bespoke FIT and/or Classic (brochure) program incoming requests, monitor and maintain same day turnaround.
Ensure all costings are being checked diligently.
Check traveller’s files arriving within set timelines.
Maintain checklist updates.
Authorisation of payment invoices. Liaise with the Finance Manager on invoicing and costings.
Ensuring that we run an efficient & profitable operation.
Ensuring that our ground handling is operated according to the highest standards, through working closely with the Operations Team.
Quality Assurance of all guest travel documentation (quotes, invoices, vouchers and documentation packs).
Build and maintain relationships with our product supplier partners in order to maximize opportunities that benefit the business.
Identify, provide feedback and recommend required product expansion, rejuvenation, termination etc based upon development and market demands.
Develop and maintain awareness of industry and tourism trends and developments.
Assist with complaints and disputes in order to reach mutually satisfactory resolutions with supplier’s pre, during and post travel.
Communicate information and training to colleagues regarding new product or destination related developments.
Provide expert opinions &/ travel feedback as and when required on destinations, suppliers & products.
Be available as required to provide help, assistance and cover for the 24 hour emergency cell phone.
Salary
R25 000 – R35 000 per month negotiable
