We're on the hunt for a Senior Tour Consultant to join a stellar team that's all about creating goosebump-inducing travel experiences across the stunning landscapes of Southern Africa. Based in the vibrant hub of Bryanston, Johannesburg, this isn't just a job; it's your chance to be the behind-the-scenes wizard making dream vacations a reality.

What kind of magic will you be weaving? Imagine being the go-to person for all things adventure! You'll be the linchpin, ensuring that every cog in the wheel of their scheduled tours and transfers runs smoothly. Your mission? To not just meet expectations, but to absolutely blow them out of the water. Think of your days looking something like this:

  1. Turning a flurry of emails into perfectly organized plans, responding with the speed and warmth of a genuine travel guru.
  2. Being the friendly voice that greets online wanderers, instantly sparking their excitement and guiding them towards their next great adventure.
  3. Crafting pricing that makes sense and resonates, with a deep understanding of what makes each journey tick – from the rugged terrain to the cozy lodges.
  4. Locking in those dream bookings with precision and flair, ensuring no double-booking dramas and keeping a hawk-eye on those all-important numbers.
  5. Understanding the nuts and bolts of tour costs, ensuring everything adds up so that both incredible experiences and happy suppliers are the order of the day.
  6. Navigating the tricky bits with grace and understanding, finding solutions that keep everyone smiling (as much as possible!).
  7. Meticulously preparing every detail before a tour sets off, from cozy rooming lists to ensuring the right wheels and the best guides are ready to roll.
  8. Being the calm voice at the end of the line, ready to assist guests and guides with any unexpected twists and turns during their adventure.
  9. Going above and beyond to deliver service that makes people say "wow!", sharing insider knowledge and even suggesting those extra little touches that elevate a good trip to an unforgettable one.
  10. Swiftly addressing any bumps in the road, ensuring they're resolved efficiently and lessons are learned.
  11. Spotting opportunities to enhance a traveller’s journey and following up with the enthusiasm of someone who truly believes in the product.
  12. Sharing valuable feedback to keep their incredible tours evolving and staying top-notch.

Do you have the magic touch? We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a solid foundation with a Matric / Grade 12. A Travel & Tourism qualification? Bonus points!
  • Speaks the language of Southern Africa like a local – you know the hotspots, the hidden gems, the distances, and the must-sees.
  • Is a wizard with online systems (navigating them blindfolded is only a slight exaggeration!).
  • Brings at least 3 years of hands-on experience orchestrating group tours within the travel industry.
  • Familiarity with Tourplan? That's like knowing a secret travel spell!
  • Communicates like a seasoned diplomat – verbally and in writing.
  • Connects with people effortlessly, building rapport and understanding.
  • Loves a good puzzle and can solve problems with creative flair.
  • Is the master of their own time and can juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat.
  • Can negotiate with the best of them and build strong relationships.
  • Thinks outside the box and isn't afraid to take initiative.
  • Has an eagle eye for detail – no comma out of place!
  • Understands the basics of numbers and how they play a role.
  • Believes in the power of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Is comfortable navigating Microsoft Office like a pro.
  • Lives and breathes the travel industry and has a genuine passion for it.
  • Has a knack for making complex logistics feel like a breeze.

The Treasure Chest: In return for your incredible skills and passion, you'll receive a competitive salary that recognizes your experience and the vital role you'll play in creating magical travel moments.
