QE Services IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer in Cape Town to drive automation excellence across enterprise platforms. You will design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript and JavaScript, ensuring scalable, high‑quality testing across digital systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and implementing automation test strategies.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks while ensuring high‑quality, scalable, and reliable solutions across digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright
• Build and execute end‑to‑end, regression, and integration automation suites
• Develop automation scripts using TypeScript / JavaScript
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Test Automation Engineer / Tester
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• Playwright (essential)
• TypeScript & JavaScript (essential)
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch
• Solid experience with:
• API testing (Postman / REST)
• SQL for data validation
• CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Strong understanding of:
• Agile / Scrum methodologies
• End‑to‑end testing lifecycle (STLC)

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to retail, eCommerce, or supply chain systems
