Senior Test Analyst - End-to-End QA in Banking

Job summary

Datacentrix is seeking an experienced Test Analyst to support a portfolio of IT transformation initiatives in the financial services sector. You will develop test scenarios, execute tests, coordinate SIT/QA and UAT, and report on defects to ensure high-quality solutions.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams, maintain testing records, and contribute to test strategy and automation efforts for complex banking applications.

Qualifications

• 3-year Diploma or Degree in IT, Software Development or a related field.
• ISTQB Foundation Level or Test Analyst certification.
• 5–8 years' experience in software testing, test execution and analysis.
• 3–6 years' experience in functional, integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test coordination, reporting and sign-off.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques and manual testing frameworks.
• Extensive experience with HP ALM for test management and defect tracking.
• Experience in end-to-end testing across front-end, back-end and integrated systems.
• Knowledge of SWIFT standards and payment messaging (MT and ISO 20022).
• Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders during testing activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Previous experience in the banking or financial services environment will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test scenarios, test cases and test plans based on business, functional and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end and system testing to validate solution quality and business requirements.
• Coordinate and report on System Integration Testing (SIT/QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparation, execution and formal sign-off.
• Analyse test results, identify and manage defects, and track resolution through to closure.
• Develop and maintain manual testing frameworks and regression test packs aligned with critical business processes.
• Collaborate with Automation and Performance Test Analysts to support test scripting activities.
• Prepare test documentation, progress reports, defect management reports, sign-off certificates and test closure reports.
• Engage with business stakeholders, developers and project teams to ensure testing objectives and timelines are achieved.
• Maintain accurate testing records and provide knowledge transfer documentation to support successful project handover.
