Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecoms Systems Architect in Stellenbosch to design and guide the evolution of core telecommunications systems. Lead architectural roadmaps, set technical standards, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance networks and service platforms.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in telecommunications systems design and architecture.
• Deep expertise in telecom network architecture, including mobile (4G/5G), IP networking, and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design high-level architectural solutions for new telecommunications services and infrastructure components.
• Define technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for system development and deployment.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and platforms to enhance network capabilities and service offerings.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
