Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Solutions Architect for a fully remote role. You will lead the design of end-to-end telecom solutions for enterprise clients, translating complex business needs into high-level technical designs across LAN/WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, cloud networking, UC, and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years in telecommunications with at least 5 years in solutions architecture or senior network design.
• Extensive experience designing enterprise-level solutions across LAN/WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud Networking, UC, and Cybersecurity.
• Deep understanding of telecom standards, protocols, and best practices.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their networking services.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, CCDE, CISSP are a strong advantage.
