Placements24 is seeking a Senior Telecom Network Engineer to join a fully remote team delivering advanced telecom network solutions. You will design, deploy, and maintain IP/MPLS/fiber networks, optimize performance, and ensure security across global services.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in telecommunications, strong routing and switching skills, familiarity with 4G/5G, and experience with cloud networking and virtualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of telecommunications network engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis software.
• Strong understanding of wireless standards (4G, 5G).
• Effective communication for remote collaboration.
• Experience with cloud networking and virtualization is a plus.
• Relevant industry certifications (CCIE, CCNP) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage complex telecommunications networks (IP, MPLS, fiber).
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
