Purpose of Position

To provide technical support, perform routine and stat analyses of samples within the Clinical Pathology laboratory environment.

Requirements

1. Certificate : Medical Technician
2. HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
3. Registered Facilitator

Required Experience

Experience in pathology laboratory environment

Knowledge

1. Google and Google Mail
2. Instrumentation and Methodologies
3. Meditech system
4. MS Excel
5. MS Windows
6. Quality Control
7. Relevant pathology test procedures
8. Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath
2. Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens
3. Provide technical support within laboratory in order to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimens
4. Train laboratory staff in order to ensure continuous development and education
