Job summary

Fidelity Services Group is seeking a Commercial Technician - Senior with team leader experience to manage maintenance and breakdown services, monitor equipment, and guide a team to uphold daily and weekly schedules.

The role requires extensive expertise in Impro Access Control, Nemtek Electric Fence Energizers, and Ziton Fire Systems, with responsibility for installation and maintenance of alarm systems and smart CCTV.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electronic Security technician.
• Programming, wiring, installations and fault-finding experience.
• Valid code 08 driver’s license is essential.
• Must be PSIRA registered (Grade D, E or C).

Responsibilities

• Program systems as per specifications.
• Plan cable runs with the wireman.
• Complete handovers and job cards after installations.
• Provide feedback to Manager and Call Centre after calls.
• Maintain stock and assist store with stock takes.

COMMERCIAL TECHNICIAN - SENIOR WITH TEAM LEADER EXPERIENCE

Overall Purpose of the job:

The incumbent will be responsible for the Maintenance and Break-down services, monitoring of equipment, managing the team to continue daily and weekly maintenance schedules. Asses and assist with upgrades.

The incumbent must have extensive experience in Impro Access Control, Nemtek Electric Fence Energizers as well as Ziton Fire Systems.

Hardware and Software

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• Matric or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electronic Security technician
• Programming, wiring, installations and fault-finding experience
• Valid code 08 driver’s license essential
• Must be PSIRA registered (Grade E, D C)

Job Requirements:

1. Impro Access Control – Card Technologies and Biometric Solutions
2. Nemtek Electric Fence Experience and certification
3. Ziton Fire Panels and possible SAQCC Certification

• Install and Program multiple alarm systems (Ajax, Paradox, Texecom, Caddx, IDS, DSC, Rhino, Risco)
• Installation and Maintenance of electric fences
• Smart CCTV systems (Line crossing, Facial recognition, Street surveillance etc.)
• Integration of Electric fencing, CCTV, and Intruder alarm systems
• Setup and maintenance of wireless, fibre and copper networks
• Installation of basic electricity e.g., DB Boards, Inverters, UPSs, and Generators
• Oversight and design of big projects
• IT and Network support
• Access Control systems (Bio-Metrix, UHF, Facial recognition, and Access cards)

Main duties & Responsibilities:

• Program system as per specifications
• Plan the cable runs with the wireman
• Obtain customer codes before attending a call daily and when on Standby
• Complete handovers
• Complete job cards after every installation
• Provide feedback to Manager and Call Centre upon completion of a call
• Keep stock up to date and assist store man with stock take
• Keep the company vehicle clean
• Submit petrol slips
