Job Title: Senior Technical Support Engineer (Specialist)

Location: Gauteng, Johannesburg

Job Overview
  • Support end-users and assist with escalations, managing VIP support and ensuring procedures are followed.
  • Manage the network and IT infrastructure.
  • Implement ISO 27002 controls and manage the ISO 27001 ISMS.
  • Manage and mentor IT consultants within the Internal IT team.
  • Plan and manage IT projects.
  • Report on service metrics.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage VM Servers via MS Hyper-V & Failover Clustering.
  • Manage DELL Storage SAN & VRTX.
  • Support DELL hardware including servers, notebooks, and desktops.
  • Manage backups using ArcServe, StorVault (E-Vault), and Veeam.
  • Manage LAN cabling and switching (DELL).
  • Manage WAN firewalls (SonicWALL & FortiGate).
  • Configure and maintain wireless technologies (Ruckus).
  • Support third-party software (Quotewerks, GP, etc.).
  • Be certified in Microsoft 365 Suite / Azure Administration & Management.
  • Set up secure baseline configurations for workstations and servers.
  • Use N-Central Network Monitoring Suite for remote assistance, patching, and AV management.
  • Manage Intune and device enrollment.
  • Ensure network devices and servers are patched and updated.
  • Manage Mimecast Email Filtering services.
  • Administer TP / VC equipment in boardrooms.
  • Conduct end-user information security training (KnowBe4).
  • Handle incident management, problem resolution, service requests, and change management.
  • Possession of CCNA and relevant security certifications is advantageous.
